StoreFront 6 Service Pack 8

Issue List

  • 1031 - FIX - In confirmation e-mails, customer defined attributes repeat information twice - In confirmation e-mails, customer defined attributes would display in a format such as "Intials - Initials - XYZ", rather than "Initials - XYZ" - Changes in cemail.vb resolve this issue
  • 1243 - FIX - HTML symbols are not saved in confirmation messages - In previous versions of StoreFront, attempts to add HTML symbols to the e-mail message would generally result in the message saving but the symbols being removed - By changing the encoding on the page that manages this interface, this issue has been resolved.
  • 2760 - ENHANCEMENT - IP Address was not sent to Authorize.NET - In previous versions, StoreFront had sent the IP address as part of the transaction information sent to Authorize.NET. This had been dropped in 6.7 since the IP Address is optional, however, a number of customers requested the feature be restored - 6.8 will send the IP address to Authorize.NET
  • 2767 - FIX - Cancelling PayPal mid-transaction resulted in unhandled exception - In previous versions of StoreFront a customer who cancelled their PayPal order received an unhandled exception. - Users that cancel transactions are now redirected back to the ShipSummary.aspx page.
  • 2793 - FIX - Transactions through Verisign are not marked as "paid" in the merchant tools - Authorize and Capture transactions with Verisign were not recorded in the StoreFront merchant tools as paid - Verisign transactions are now marked as paid
  • 2806 - FIX - After paying with PayPal, orders were not marked as paid - In StoreFront 6.7, PayPal orders that had been paid were not marked as such in StoreFront at the end of the transaction. - PayPal "sale" transactions should now reflect as "paid" in the StoreFront Merchant Tools
  • 2808 - FIX - Attribute "display order" does not function correctly - It was reported that the "display order" option that is used to control the display order of the options within a given attribute did not correctly alter the display order of attributes on the website - This issue has been addressed in 6.8
  • 2810 - FIX - StoreFront Payment Gateway errors in 6.7 - The StoreFront Payment Gateway provided through ClearCommerce did not work in 6.7 unless configured to process as "ClearCommerce" - StoreFront has addressed this issue so call the appropriate code
  • 2815 - FIX - "A potentially dangerous request" when viewing "details" on product import - In the .NET framework 1.1 this error can occur when the request contains HTML characters, as is the case here - This page which is secured in the merchant tools doesn't need ASP.NET validation, so have turned validateRequest to false on this page
  • 2821 - FIX - Error viewing e-check orders - In StoreFront 6.7, attempts to print an e-check from within the orders interface resulted in an "arithmetic overflow" error - This issue is resolved in the 6.8 release
  • 2823 - FIX - StoreFront sent PayPal "Authorize" and "Sale" flags switched - In the previous version of StoreFront PayPal transactions that should be sent to PayPal as "authorize" were sent as "sale" and vice versa - Updated StoreFront logic to send the correct flags
  • 2825 - FIX - Searchresult sort order only sorts within a given page - In a hotfix to SP7, an condition arose where the search results were sorted a-z within a given page but the entire result set was not sorted a-z, resulting in a situation where each page would contain products from a-z. - Changes have been made to the stored procedure to eliminate this issue
  • 2826 - FIX - PayFlow Link updated transaction URL - Verisign PayFlow Link updated the transaction URL for checkout - URL is updated in the SP8 service pack
  • 2828 - FIX - Errors with paging: "Start Index Cannot Be Less than 0" - In StoreFront 6.7, adding an item to cart from the second page of search results could trigger an error when viewing a category of items - StoreFront logic has been updated in 6.8 to address this issue

  • 2838 - FIX - Miscellaneous issues with attribute template - In previous versions, attribute templates could in certain circumstances override attributes assigned to other products or did not seem to apply in a uniform manner - Miscellaneous code changes which impact the way attribute templates are written prior to being applied to products should resolve these issues. Customers with existing templates exhibiting these behaviors will want to remove the defective templates and recreate them.
  • 2844 - ENHANCEMENT - USPS no longer requires password - USPS no longer requires a password to obtain rate services - The merchant tools interface has been updated to no longer require a password
  • 2848 - FIX - Promotional mail fails using European date formats - The promotional mail tool included in the StoreFront merchant tools sometimes generated errors when the store was set to use non-US date formats - Handling for this date format has been added to the interface
  • 2849 - FIX - Shipping.aspx errors with back button - In previous versions of StoreFront, new customers who filled in a shipping address, went on to the shipsummary.aspx page, and then hit "back" in the browser to edit the shipping.aspx page again would encounter an error when trying to continue. - The error was due to the code assuming that if a customer had an address in the address book already, there would be a dropdown box available to the customer to select in address. However, when using the back button in IE, IE caches the page and no dropdown is available. This issue is now resolved.
  • 2850 - FIX - Error when selecting PayPal as a payment method during the checkout process - In some instances, selecting PayPal as a payment method could result in an error, even with proper store configuration. - This logic has been addressed
