StoreFront 6 Quick Start Guide
Welcome to the StoreFront 6.0 Quick Start Guide. The purpose of this guide is to walk you through
the first steps of creating a web store. First, you'll choose the database type for your
web store: Access or SQL Server. After that, we'll discuss the different development
environment options: live or local. Finally, you'll construct your first StoreFront web store.
Note: StoreFront 6.0 uses Microsoft's .NET technology. Before you install StoreFront or begin
developing a local StoreFront web store, you must have the .NET Framework installed and working.
To help you ensure that your development environment is .NET-ready, LaGarde recommends that all
StoreFront 6.0 users review the materials available at the StoreFront 6.0 .NET Readiness Center.
