AccountSync Tutorial

Introduction

Through reading this tutorial and performing the tasks it prescibes, you'll learn:

• General features of AccountSync
• General features of QuickBooks 2003
• How to configure your copy of QuickBooks 2003 in such a way that AccountSync will be able to synchronize it to your web store
• How to synchronize, and
• The effects of synchronization

You'll accomplish these goals by creating a simple web store to use during the course of the tutorial, called "The Nature Store." You'll create a corresponding "Nature Store" company in QuickBooks, too. The tasks you perform as you proceed through the tutorial will involve configuring QuickBooks and AccountSync to allow you to successfully synchronize the Nature Store web store and the Nature Store's company file in QuickBooks.

• Step 1: Setting Up the Nature Store

Note: in order to complete this tutorial, you must have StoreFront 6 (SE, AE, or XE), StoreFront AccountSync, QuickBooks 2003, and a working knowledge of StoreFront 6. AccountSync also supports QuickBooks Pro, Premier, and Enterprise 2004, 2005, and 2006, but the configuration steps may vary slightly.
